About the Opportunity
Rowe's Construction currently has an exciting opportunity for a Labourer/Flagger to join our team on a full-time seasonal basis. This role will be based out of Hay River, NT.
The Labourer/Flagger is responsible for the following duties:
- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment, operate small machinery and power tools.
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps
- Oil and grease equipment
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites / flagging
- Assist Equipment Operators
- Perform other duties at construction sites, as directed.
Qualifications include:
- Previous experience working at construction sites or shops is preferred
- Experience working on underground water & sewer projects would be considered an asset
- Valid class 5 drivers license
- Demonstrate good judgment and the ability to solve problems.
- Ability to make basic measurements and mathematical calculations.
- Ability to maintain a safe worksite working independently or as part of a team.
- First Aid, or other safety designations would be considered an asset.
Above all, you'll be a reliable team player who has a natural aptitude for excellent customer service and the physical capabilities required to carry out the role.
About the Benefits
Position is based out of Hay River, NT however, the successful candidate must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required. Also, may be required to travel to various job locations.
Shift Hours of work are usually 7am - 7pm, Mon - Sun.
Hourly wage range $18.00 - $23.00 an hours, depending on skills and experience.
